Minato and Ken have forged a bond that cannot be broken. From June 2009 through March 2010, were both members of SEES. While a lot of their time was spent defeating Shadows both inside and outside Tartarus, they got to know each other not as a fellow member of SEES, but as a person and a friend. Ken looked up to Minato; he was everything that Ken aspired to be: a good leader, diligent, strong, intelligent. Minato never treated him like a child, and that was something Ken always appreciated. When Minato willingly gave up his life to become the Great Seal, Ken understood the sacrifice and wanted to make sure Minato's sacrifice wasn't in vain. When Ken arrived at Inugami, he arrived under the impression that Minato was still dead, and so he never bothered to even look for him.
